NALINI JONES is the author of a story collection, What You Call Winter, and the recipient of an NEA fellowship, Pushcart Prize, and O. Henry Prize. Her work has appeared in Ploughshares, One Story and Guernica, among others. She currently teaches in the Columbia University MFA Writing program and has previously taught writing and literature at Yale University and the Arcadia Center in Greece. She is working on a novel for Knopf.

Her credits in music include Associate Producer of the Newport Folk Festival 2004-09, Line Producer of the 2005 televised benefit From the Big Apple to the Big Easy at Madison Square Garden, and Backstage Manager at Freihofer's Saratoga Jazz Festival and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
