Pushcart Prize

“Tiger” has won a Pushcart Prize!

“A Pushcart Prize selection is one of the very best things that could happen to a writer,” noted Charles Wright. The series has published the best of the small presses since 1976. “Tiger” appears in its 37th volume: 2013 Pushcart Prize XXXVII. It was originally published by One Story.

  1. Tiger was the first thing I read in One Story—just a marvelous story, which led me to subscribe and to buy What You Call Winter, which I now push on all of my writer friends. Great about the Pushcart Prize. I recently went to buy the issue with Tiger and found it was sold out—another kind of honor.
